What is an RSS Feed?
RSS stands for ‘Really Simple Syndication’. It allows you to see when new articles have been added to PurpleInternetMarketing.com without having to visit our website every day.
When you subscribe to our RSS feed (free of charge), our latest Internet marketing tips appear on your home page as soon as they are published. You can then decide whether or not you want to read the full article.
Not all websites currently provide RSS, but it is growing rapidly in popularity and many others, including the BBC and CNN, offer it.
The first thing you need is something called an ‘RSS reader’. This is a piece of software that checks our RSS feed and lets you display a summary of the latest articles published on PurpleInternetMarketing.com. Some of the most popular software that lets you do this includes, Google Reader, My Yahoo and NewsGator.
Once you have chosen an RSS reader, all you have to do is copy our RSS feed website address which is http://feeds.feedburner.com/purpleinternetmarketing into the ‘add content’ section of your RSS reader software. You should then be able to view our most recently published Internet marketing advice articles.
If you’d like to receive more information on RSS and how it can help your business, contact us to arrange to attend one of our Internet marketing seminars or receive some one-to-one Internet marketing training.
